Take the Kosciuszko Chairlift to Australia’s highest restaurant and bar, Eagles Nest, and soak up some of the best views in the country. Fuel up with a coffee before tackling the climb to Mt Kosciuszko or stop in for a beer or cocktail on your way back down.

You’ll find Black Sallees at the top of Snowgums Chairlift, serving up Japanese favourites like ramen, karaage and gyoza. Grab a cold beer on the deck or settle in by the window for lunch with a view.
Wild Brumby Distillery is located half way between Jindabyne and Thredbo on the Alpine Way. Distilled on site, you can sample and take home your own “drink of the mountains”, with a good array of seasonal varieties available. The Still House is a highlight itself with schnapps, snacks, coffee and cake also available.
Thredbo has several public BBQ’s located around the resort close to picnic tables. They are provided free of charge. BBQ supplies can be purchased at the Thredbo Supermarket and takeaways from the Bistro Bar in Summer or the Village Square Bottleshop in Winter.
