We’re officially launching summer in Thredbo, and we’re inviting you along to Unleash Your Inner Wild!

Hike It

Home of Australia’s highest peaks and most iconic hiking trails, Thredbo’s hike network invites you to tick off some bucket list walks this summer.

Mt Kosciuszko

Probably the main character of Thredbo’s hike offering, the Mt Kosciuszko walk is a crowd favourite – and for good reason! Starting at Australia’s highest restaurant, Eagles Nest, the 13km return walk snakes its way through iconic alpine plains, past granite boulders and fields of wild flowers. With the reward of a selfie at the top of Australia, it’s easy to see why this walk is at the top of any hikers list. Snowies Alpine Walk

After its successful debut last year, the Snowies Alpine Walk is back! This multi-day hike experience is big on adventure without compromising on comfort. Think, daily transfers to trail heads in a Defender, cosy nightly accommodation in the Thredbo Alpine Hotel, yummy meals provided and all accompanied by an expert guide. Night Sky Hikes

There’s no denying Thredbo’s hikes are all magical, but there’s something to be said about experiencing them under the night sky. With our New Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Full Moon, Kosciuszko Sunset, Super Full Moon, Geminids Meteor Shower and Aries Tor Sunset hikes this summer – you’re invited to witness the spectacular transformation our mountains take under the Milky Way! Home of Australia’s only lift-accessed Mountain Bike Park, Thredbo has cemented themselves as the leader in gravity terrain in the country.

With over 40km of gravity trails, skills parks for all abilities, a linked network of cross country trails, two pump tracks and a progressive MTB School with a certified team of experienced instructors, Thredbo MTB park has something on offer for riders of all abilities. New this year, parts of our much-loved trail network are having a refresh. You can expect, works to begin on a new beginner trail and skills park on Friday Flat, Home Run coming back with a fresh realignment, Grasshopper getting a makeover with upgraded features and Ricochet is levelling up with a huge new section of trail starting from the top of Gunbarrell Chairlift.

Our MTB School is built for progression and welcomes riders of all abilities. Whether you’re just starting with an Intro to MTB, refining your skills in a MTB Fundamentals clinic, or advancing through to our MTB Progression clinics and Private Lessons, we offer the perfect path to elevate your riding.
