MTB Interschools FAQs

When do registrations close?
All entries will close at 6pm sharp on Monday 11th March 2019.

How many days lift access do I get if I enter one event?
All Event Entry – Division 1, 2 & 3: 2 days lift access. Includes Friday 15th & Saturday 16th.
All Event Entry – Division 4: 1 days lift access. Friday 16th only.
X-Country Only Entry: No lift access included.
Additional practice days can be purchased online when you register.

Can i race as an individual if i don't have any other riders from my school?
Yes you certainly can race as an individual. When you register you will still have to list your school name but will you will not qualify for a team result.

Is a full face helmet compulsory for all events?
No. Full face helmets are only compulsory in the SRAM Cannonball Downhill & Maxxis Flow Motion Cup. A regular open face helmet is sufficient for the Osprey Cross Country, DHaRCO Cross Country Team Relay & Rockshox Pump Track.

Is armour or any other protection compulsory?
All competitors in the SRAM Cannonball Downhill & Maxxis Flow Motion Cup must wear knee pads and either elbow pads or long sleeves.

Do I need a race licence to enter Interschools?
Yes. All competitors will be required to have a club licence or an MTBA day licence. MTBA day licenses will be available for purchase at registration.

Is there a workshop or somewhere I can get my bike serviced or checked?
We have a fully operational workshop at Valley Terminal. Qualified mechanics are on hand specializing in pre-race suspension setup and everything you need to ensure your bike is race ready.

Will I be able to ride if I’m not competing in the MTB Interschools?
There will be limited public chairlift access across the Interschools weekend. Trail closures are listed below:
Thursday 15th: All trails open.
Friday 16th: Kosciuszko Flow Trail & Cannonball Downhill closed for competition. All-Mountain Trail open from the top of Gunbarrel.
Saturday 17th: Kosciuszko Flow Trail & Cannonball Downhill closed for competition. All-Mountain Trail open from the top of Gunbarrel.
Sunday 18th: All gravity trails open. Friday Flat XC Loop closed for competition.

How do I volunteer?

If I am unable to make it to Interschools, can I get a refund?
There will be no refunds. If a competitor injures themselves prior to competing, a store credit will be issued once a valid doctor certificate has been presented.
